SATHORN

A 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of Bangkok. This is a vacation home for an expat client who has a passion for Thai and Asian cultures. The design draws inspiration from traditional Thai teak houses with wooden wall panelling. The flooring is a dark-tinted hand scraped parquet adding to the sensation of a sophisticated traditional Thai house. A chestnut brown coloured tone fills the entire apartment creating a warm and harmonious ambiance.The wall-panelled living area is the main focus of the apartment. It can be configured as a dining room with a 4-seater Chinese table which also serves as a sofa side table.The result is a bigger living area for hosting drinks with the occasional small intimate sit-down dinner.The living area can also be converted into an additional guest bedroom with the Chinese daybed.
