MARAIS
Tucked away in the heart of the Marais, this apartment from the 18th century has been reimagined as a serene and contemporary living space. The goal was to preserve its historic soul while adapting it to the rhythm of modern life.
Original details — exposed oak beams, sanded and freed from their dark varnish and the restored fireplace — now sit alongside bespoke joinery and subtle architectural gestures that bring in light and emphasize vertical lines, softening the apartment’s modest ceiling height.
The material palette plays a central role: natural wood, stone, and limewash walls in warm, luminous tones create a calm and timeless atmosphere. Discreet storage, clever built-ins, and thoughtful layouts ensure that every square meter is both beautiful and functional.
The result is a home that feels at once historic and modern, intimate yet open — a space where craftsmanship and comfort meet to celebrate the character of the Marais in a contemporary way.
